Our customer is a global pioneer in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics and a leader in personalized healthcare. They are world’s largest biotech company, with diﬀerentiated medicines in oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology and diseases of the central nervous system. Our customer specializes in in-vitro diagnostics and tissue-based cancer diagnostics and is a frontrunner in diabetes management. They focus on advancing science to improve human life and continues to search for better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases. They also aim to improve patient access to medical innovations through collaboration with suitable stakeholders.
Our customer had a dynamic and elastic infrastructure in the cloud which requires intense level of monitoring that costs them high. There were high number of false positives threshold alerts, due to which resources were held up in handling false positives, in-turn increased the expenditure. So, our customer was looking for a cost-eﬀective monitoring solution that would not require eyes on glass and be able to detect infrastructure incidents with their AWS infrastructure.

We developed a proprietary infrastructure monitoring tool to monitor AWS infrastructure. The tool is built leveraging AWS’s Elastic features such as auto-scaling and elastic object storage S3. The monitoring tool applies statistical, anomaly detection and clustering algorithms to detect infrastructure elements that deviate from normal baseline behavior.
