Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Record and maintain sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and other accounting transactions.
• Manage and reconcile incoming and outgoing bank transactions.
• Prepare and review Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis.
• Prepare and post monthly provisions, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other accounting adjustments.
• Perform month-end and year-end book closure activities within defined timelines.
• Prepare financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account, after closure of books.
• Prepare supporting schedules and perform reconciliations for Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
• Conduct monthly Gross Margin Analysis and prepare variance reports for management review.
• Calculate and account for monthly depreciation and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.

• Monitor, calculate, and reconcile statutory payments and compliances, including GST, TDS, EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Verify and reconcile sales recorded in the books of accounts with GST returns filed and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the preparation and submission of required statutory reports and returns.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Assist in preparing MIS reports, financial analysis, management reports, and other finance-related reports as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance.
• CA Qualified (or) CA Inter.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Hands-on experience in BRS, ledger reconciliation, journal entries, provisions, accruals, and book closure.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, EPF, ESIC, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in preparing Balance Sheet, P&L, and supporting schedules.
• Good knowledge of Fixed Assets and depreciation accounting.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting activities effectively.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
